1953
  • Godfrey & Cappe began building in Don Mills and ultimately built over 1,000 homes
1956
  • Jonat Construction began building townhomes and apartment buildings
1963
  • Victoria Wood was created. It became Canada's largest homebuilder, building more than 1,400 homes a year
1965
  • Joe Godfrey becomes a member of the Toronto Home Builders' Board of Directors
  • Yorkwood Homes / Yorkwood Investments starts building  new homes and communities
1968
  • Yorkwood completes Charles Promenade Towers in the  heart of Toronto
1984
  • Norman Godfrey elected 1985 President of the Toronto Home Builders' Association
1985
  • Joe Godfrey inducted into the Toronto Home Builders' Hall of Fame for his outstanding contribution to the industry
1987
